Fits round pipes up to 110mm, square up to 80mm, and rectangular 100 × 75mm. You'll need a straight run of downpipe about 1 metre long, as the pod is 950mm tall.
The pod measures 950mm high × 175mm wide × 200mm deep. Check there's room on the wall beside the pipe for its four hidden fixing tabs.

Easy to install and a great solution to capture rainwater where the water tank/butt needs to be located remotely away from the downpipes. The fast flow and hoselock taps are very helpful way to use the water.
With a remote water butt, during installation you need to carefully consider the height from the ground of the taps and water butt outlet connection to ensure there is enough room to place a watering can underneath the taps. It may be necessary to raise the water butt on a suitable stand to make sure the Rainpod can be installed at an appropriate height.

We stumbled on Rainpod whilst looking for a way to fill multiple water butts. It seemed like the ideal solution. Despite some online discussions suggesting it can’t possibly work, we went ahead with a purchase of the Rainpod Max and accessories to connect four water butts.
Installation was very straight forward, with good instructions. Everything fitted well and parts seem high quality.
Unfortunately (?) it didn’t rain for two weeks after installation so we had no idea if all was good or not. But when the heavens eventually opened we were pleased to see the system working perfectly and all water butts filling nicely. An excellent product and service from Rainpod.

The rainpod was relatively simple to install and seems to be of good sturdy construction. It does what it is supposed to do and collects water from the downpipe and feeds it to the waterbutts.
Simple and ingenious product. Very easy to install. I daisy-chained 2 water butts. The fact you don't need overflow pipes is great. Seems to work well.

Build quality is very good. Fixed to the wall using 2, 7mm screws/rawlplugs.
I chose to use the rain diverter that came with my water butts as it was more compact and the connection was straight.
Managed to fill 2x110 L butts with 1 day of heavy rain.
Chose this over the Rainpod Max as it was less invasive to the gutter and a bit cheaper.
Came with 5 m of 1" hose. I burried it under my slabs. Only had enough connections and jubilee clips for 1 butt so had to order more.
Instructions are simple enough but it helps to have a good understanding of how the system works.
I put the butt next to the gutter to gauge the height and used my watering can to make sure the tap wasn't too low.

I brought the RainPod max to collect as much water as possible. I installed 4 water butts of 250 litres each. Total of 1000 litres. I am collecting water from the rear of my house. The RainPod max filled 1000 litres in 24 hours. Since then we have had a long dry spell. Could do with more volume.
Works well. A coffee jar of boiling water is an essential assembly tool in order to make the hose ends pliant and get tight seals on fittings.
The product is well made of thick plastic, no flimsy parts, easy to install (slightly tricky to level in sloped garden). Works well, my water butt is already full.

After my original rainpod was damaged by contractors (and myself lol)I had to replace it. Once you start harvesting rainwater it does become a bit of an obsession but the Rainpod does the job. I had a water meter installed last year and the Rainpod has paid back, brilliant…..
I think the Rainpod Max is a good product which potentially solves my problem of not being able to locate water butts adjacent to my downpipe.

Does the job, only small complaint, would suggest it came with a Rainwater Reducer based on pipe size to cover the inlet to stop debris from falling inside.

Seems to work well and can divert copious amounts of rainwater, although can't quite cope with some of the monsoon type rain we occasionally get, but that particular downpipe does take a LOT of water
I love this product and what it can do! The reason why I didn’t give it five stars is the amount of effort it took for me to prevent leaks! What should have been a five minute job turned into several hours as it took me ages to stop the leaks between the hose pipe connections. I had to use a combination of plumbers tape and insulation tape but I got there. My new water butt and my two old ones now work together and the old ones are at the other end of the garden! Exactly what I wanted. I love the fact I can pull the water off one tap. I was thinking about getting a second Rainpod for another location but the prevention of the leaks has put me off for now as I don’t have the time to deal with it.
I don't know how it works but it does. Water butt is 6 meters away from the down pipe but it now fills quickly but doesn't overflow. Easy to install but watch your fingers!

Level ground is ideal. If your butts sit on higher ground, you simply fit RAINPOD higher on the downpipe, so its overflow sits just below the top of your butts. See our ground levels guide.

No. RAINPOD isn't a closed system and has an open top, so it never needs draining. In freezing weather the ice just rises slightly out of the top.
The removable debris filter catches moss, leaves and other debris before they enter the pod, and cleans out in seconds.

Either swap your water butt tap for one of the included 25mm fast-flow bends, or keep your tap and drill a second hole for the bend. Link extra butts with the T-connectors and clips provided.

The main pipe is new, premium PVCU pressure pipe. Occasionally there are light scuffs from where the manufacturer stored it. They don't affect how RAINPOD works.
