RAINPOD™ fits directly to your drainpipe so all the rain is collected and sent to your water butt. Its slim, space-saving design suits any property, and your water butt can now go in its new preferred spot.
RAINPOD™ can be fitted directly to your drainpipe to make sure all water is collected and sent to your water butt. With its slim, space-saving design it can be installed on any property. In most cases RAINPOD™ replaces your previous water butt, which can now be placed in its new preferred location.
TOP TIP: Install RAINPOD™ so the "water line" is slightly lower than all your connected water butts. This makes sure all excess water travels back down the drainpipe through the built-in overflow.
By simply keeping the correct levels, you can move your water butt any distance from RAINPOD™. We use 1" premium hose, included in all of our kits, which is superb for a fast, steady flow.
As this is a gravity-fed system, the further away your water butt is, the slower the water may flow back to RAINPOD™, but it will still work well.
Connecting to RAINPOD™ couldn't be simpler. Either use the supplied multi-hose adapter, which takes 1", 3/4" and 1/2" hose (for a fast flow we recommend 1" hose throughout; smaller hose works but with a restricted flow).
Or, with any of our water butt connection kits, the base takes our unique 1" jumbo hose connector to quickly connect and disconnect from your pod. Cut your hose to length, attach the quick-fit connector and snap it onto the base.
To connect to the base of your water butt, we recommend our fast flow 90 degree connectors. These come in all of our water butt kits, or you can buy them separately from our shop.
Simply replace your water butt tap with one of these 1" bends and connect your 1" hose securely to it.
Or keep your water butt tap and drill an additional 25mm hole.
